SYNOPSIS
The film starts as expected with the usual massacres borne out of the bitterness created when the children of leaders from either party fall in love and tie the nuptial knots. Divakaran’s son also dies in the violence. In revenge, Party secretary’s son Jayakrishnan (Anoop Menon) is targeted while on his way back to his home. Though Jayakrishnan survives, a child by name Jisna loses her leg during the murder attempt.
An enraged Jayakrishnan takes Jisna to the all-party meeting and after explaining the futility of such senseless violence, implores the workers to mend their ways. Jayakrishnan realizes the importance of development for the state and with this in mind, gives shape to a new communist ideology. Through networking and net sharing and involving the youth, his movement picks up strength within the party.
At the same time, ironically, Jayakrishnan is in love with Diwakaran’s daughter. The attempts by Jayakrishnan to correct the party ideology and save it from the trap of political violence, and the obstacles he has to face while doing it form the crux of ‘Veendum Kannoor’. There are plenty of suspense and sudden shifts before the movie ends.
